Witamy na "Górce"!

These words of Plato above were flashed on the screen for this year’s graduates from our school, who came to their farewell ceremony. Last Friday, the walls of the our school said goodbye to the technical college and supplementary technical secondary school graduates. Over one hundred and fifty students with tears in their eyes and relief in their heart received from the hands of their educators and mentors high school leaving certificates. It was time for a summary, the memories, thanks and apology. The director – Mr Jan Palacz warmly talked about each of the branches. The speech, designed and reminiscent of a conclusive nature, was illustrated by younger colleagues who prepared a multimedia presentation showing the respective classes in a slideshow. The audience had the opportunity to smile, reminisce, and enjoy at the same time that this step is already behind them. Mrs Katarzyna Bielejewska on behalf of the educators gave the graduates wishes of wise and happy life. Subsequently, representatives of students gave in return beautiful thanks. One of the girls quoted the words of Winston Churchill "This is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end, this is just the end of the beginning." And in fact this is not the end of their road, it is the end of the beginning of a new life, a new stage leading to the maturity and responsibility… The event was complemented by giving an award for the best student - Norbert Piątek. The farewell ceremony ended with musical wishes for the graduates.

When Stanislaw August Poniatowski, was enthroned as 32-year-old monarch in 1764, no one even imagined that this would be the last of the kings of the Commonwealth. The young ruler knew Europe from many travels and admired the parliamentary system in England. As a man thoroughly trained and perceived disadvantages of Polish political system and the need for reform. Elections, absence of leadership, liberum veto, confederations, the throne without power, the treasure without money, the defense without an army - these are a number of reasons, which led Poland to the inevitable collapse. The Republic was actually ruled by nobody and any warnings were disregarded . The king, however, deceptively believed that Russia is interested in strengthening the internal of the Republic. The ruler of Russia - Catherine II was more interested in maintaining the old order in Poland and the fight against the aspirations for reforms of the Poles. The first partition was a blow to the Polish patriots. It awakened the national conscience. After 1787 the international situation seemed to be in favor of the reform camp. The war broke out with Turkey and seriously engaged Russia militarily. For Poles, it was the opportune time to start the work "Repair of the Republic." On the 6^th of October 1788 the parliament gathered in Warsaw, which was to last six weeks, and made history as the Sejm.

On April 21, 2010 took place in our school a contest for "School Master of German." The initiators of the contest were students themselves, who three years ago put forward a proposal for the organization of such a venture. The main purposes of the event were to select the best students, popularization of the German and to encourage young people to deepen their knowledge in the language of our Western neighbors.

The rivalry took place in two age categories: one group consisted of pupils of the first and second, second grade students of third and fourth.

As in previous years, and now the competition enjoyed popularity among young people of our school. This year the contest joined 50 students who were asked to take the lexical – grammatical test.
