Oxford Plus Contest Results – Edition XV |

We already know the results of one of the most prestigious and most difficult language contests - Oxford Plus, which took place on April 16, 2010 in most Polish high schools. Students had to solve a test, which checked their knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical structures of English and German. Each student could earn up to 100 test points.
The tests were checked by university lecturers in Warsaw who have made their evaluations and sent the results with diplomas and prizes to schools. This is the classification of our students:
English:
- Hubert Polus - 92 points.
- Kamil Pierudzki – 64 points.
- Daniel Albin - 52 points.
- Benita Wardęga - 52 points.
- Michalina Pol - 36 points.
- Beata Kołodyńska – 36 points.
- Stachnik Karolina - 36 points.
- Damian Starosta - 36 points.
- Blazej Szamburski - 32 points.
German:
- David Stawowy - 96 points..
- Peter Grabczak - 60 points.
Congratulations and welcome to the sixteenth edition of the contest next year. The patron of the competition is the Ministry of Education.

3IE Class – Precursors of the Internet in Our School |

 Students of 3IE class are known in our school community for its work for the school. They are co-authors of a new graphic design of our school website, many teachers owes them their own websites and they often save our computer labs, when something suddenly stops working. This time the students decided to introduce an innovative idea to the class website. This time Sebastian Czerniak is the author of the idea of a class website. It has a form of blog and access to it heve only members of the 3IE class and their class teacher. Each student has his nickname and and has to log in every day on the site. The program is so designed that appear when you turn your computer on your daily reminders of homework assignments, tests and class work. The class teacher recalls about parents’ meetings and acts as an administrator – a "guardian angel" that cares about the purity of language. Such an initiative certainly improves the work in the class and certainly is an example worthy to be followed by other classes.

The First Stage of the Competition of the Quality Mark Intekl@sa 2010 |

 We were pleased to read out a list of 10 schools nominated for the Quality Mark of Interkl@sa 2010, in which there is our school.
The ceremony of presentation of Marks of Quality will be held this year, exceptionally in September, not as usually in June. The organizers want to continue the ceremonial tradition of awarding the statues of quality in the Polish parliament. In connection with the presidential election in June and connected with it organizational problems, the President of the Commission of the Quality Mark has decided to move to the finals to September 2010. |
