Nationwide Success of Our School

We are pleased to inform about our students’ next success. This time the school was awarded in a nationwide program that promotes general and Polish history in a struggle in the School Historical League .

The School Historical League was founded in our school under the operational program "Patriotism of Tomorrow ". The patron of it became the French Ambassador to Poland Mr. François Barry Delongchamps . The motive of this year's program was France and the Polish – French relations . The program was a one year’s competition year’s , where school students grouped in teams performed once a month historical works in the project. Historical School League consisted of six rounds. The sum of the scored points determines the place in the ranking. Our school was represented by a team composed of Izabela Wojciechowska, Kinga Kurowska , Kinga Pawlęty under the care of Anna Zalewska . The students performed the following works: The politics of mutual Polish-French relations in the seventeenth century, World War II, traditional Polish cuisine and the Battle of Grunwald. The girls’ last job was even included in the magazine "Ages Say".

Through hard work , determination and desire to win, working in the program since September, as a school we could get a high score , which consisted of the results of the different stages ( the first round - 3rd place , the second round - 3rd place , the third round - 1 place, the fourth round - 3rd place , the fifth round - 1st place , the sixth round - 1st place). The school obtained a total 104 points (4 points to the place I) and the general classification gained the second place in Poland. Congratulations!

On the 10^th of June 10, 2010 in our school was held a session titled "Places of Memory - Oflag IIC Woldenberg," organized by the methodological advisors (Elżbieta Anioła - a methodical teacher adviser of Polish and Marzena Teterus – a methodical teacher adviser of history and social studies).

The meeting was attended by students of secondary schools of our district and invited guests: Mr. Ryszard Jablonowski – the Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport, Mr. Rafał Sierchuła from the Institute of National Remembrance in Poland; Irena Zmaczyńska - Director of the Museum of Dobiegniewo ; Mr. Witold Młodziejowski, Mrs. Miroslawa Horodok and Mr. Leszek Lado from Teachers’ Training Center in Pila, the directors of the participating schools and teachers of Polish, history and knowledge of society.

The purpose of the meeting was to present by students selected modules of the educational project "Places of Memory - Oflag IIC Woldenberg. The project was realized in the 2009/2010 school year in six secondary schools of our district.

A Meeting With a Group of young people from Germany in Goraj

About the advantages of foreign language skills we do not have to convince anybody today, especially the students of Class III IH - Joanna Pieszyńska, Angelika Pachołek and Angelika Knapska. The students received from his teacher Grzegorz Blaszczyk the task of caring for a group of German young people from the town of Rottenburg. The pupils throughout the day accompanied by their colleagues from Germany in Goraj, helping them in different language tasks and sports competitions. Primarily served the role of translators. The tasks the tutor assigned to them were realized with flying colors. Very good knowledge of the German will surely be reflected in the next year school final exams.

Provincial Soccer Championship of Boys under 16

On the 26^th of May 2010 on the "Orlik 2012 " pitch on 60 Wroniecka Street in Czarnków was held the Provincial Football Championship of boys under the age of 16. The teams came from the following regions:

Kalisz - represented by the high school in Krotoszyn
Leszczynski - represented by high schools in Wschowa, Kościan, Rawicz and Leszno
Poznan - represented by the school in Kłecko,
Nadnotecko-Pilski represented by schools in Piła and Jastrowie.

After a very consistent play at the football meetings (in the peer system) the respective teams won the following places:

Nadnotecko-Pilski Region,

Poznań Region,
Leszno Region
Kalisz Region

Competitors of the first three teams were awarded with medals and for all teams were founded cups and souvenirs promoting the town of Czarnków. The best goalkeeper Piotr Łysio and the best player Maciej Kasprzyk received statuettes. Congratulations!
